August 26, 2011 - Getman, Schulthess & Steere, P.A. recently purchased and moved into the Charles H. Manning House, the stately 10,000-square-foot property at 1838 Elm Street, Manchester, New Hampshire, which was constructed in 1892 in the Queen Anne Victorian style. Mr. Manning was employed by the Amoskeag mills and was associated by marriage with the Carpenter family who lived in the stately brownstone mansion next door. Formerly one of the Manchester North End grand residences, the Manning House has been home to a number of Manchester businesses for several decades. The firm has committed significant resources refurbishing the building, such as installing upgraded computer wiring and an integrated state-of-the-art phone system throughout the office. The goal of the firm in purchasing the building is to serve its present and future clients even more efficiently and with greater accessibility. In addition, our staff can enjoy the quality of downtown Manchester life.
